Permits

Permits obtained from the Allen County Engineer’s Office are for county roads only.                                     In order to ensure Allen County standards are met, we require permits for all work done within a road’s right-of-way. Permits are required for driveway installation; utility work such as road cuts, bore pits and trenching within the right-of-way; accessing roadside drainage tiles; and hauling overweight items. Fees will apply for working without a permit. An application will only be valid for 180 days and must be received a minimum of 2 days prior to construction.

Please see the PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE for a listing of all permit associated cost.
